Yoga & Walking Retreat
Enjoy a weekend of relaxation and exercise, in stunning surroundings. The weekend includes accommodation in Capel Jerusalem or Jerusalem Vestry, with most meals provided. The chapel is surrounded by hills, mountains, forests, streams and waterfalls - the perfect environment to shake off the stresses of everyday life.
The weekend plans may be adapted slightly, to suit the weather and abilities, but the general programme is detailed below. All of our retreats offer the option to 'Extend your Weekend' with an extra night of B&B on the Sunday night, an optional walk and/or massage and hot tub pamper session.
Yoga sessions will be led by Louise. She has been practising yoga for 20 years and teaching since 2014 after completing the 18 month teacher training diploma with Yogacampus. Louise is a registered RYT 200 teacher with the Independent Yoga Network.
Louise specialises in Hatha yoga focusing on building up to classic postures safely and with breath awareness to create a greater ease of movement for students. She first discovered yoga to help her manage the physical discomfort of scoliosis but found it also helped with the emotional side of living with a chronic condition, creating a sense of calm and harmony between body and mind. Louise brings her experience to students with honesty, compassion and humour; believing everyone can benefit from yoga regardless of shape, size or fitness level. Her classes on the retreat are aimed at all abilities, including complete beginners, with the primary aim of enabling rest and relaxation.
Walks are guided by Martin, who is an experienced hill walker and qualified Mountain Leader. He has an in-depth knowledge of the local area and is a member of the local Mountain Rescue team. Whether you fancy climbing to the summit of the beautiful Cadair Idris, or just want to stroll along the local forest trails and beaches, he will ensure that everyone enjoys walking at their own pace, to take in the breath-taking scenery on the doorstep of Capel Jerusalem.
The emphasis of the weekend is on health and fitness and we want you to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We'll provide you with healthy food and non-alcoholic drinks. If you would like to bring a bottle of wine or your favourite tipple, to enjoy with your Friday meal, it won't be frowned upon.

7.30pm Dinner at the chapel
8.00am – 9.00am Yoga
10.30am – 3.30pm Guided walk, up the stunning Cadair Idris (weather permitting) - or opt for a shorter walk.
3.45pm Coffee & cake
5.30pm – 6.45pm Yoga
7.30pm – pre-dinner drinks in chapel
8pm Dinner in the local pub (not included in the price)
8.15am – 9.30am Yoga
11.00am – 1.00pm Guided beach walk/packed lunch
